Fernie Virtual Enduro 2020 - Race #2

Looking for a mountain bike challenge this summer? Look no further...the Fernie Enduro is going V-I-R-T-U-A-L for 2020. Get yourself to the top of the trail and race to the bottom!

The event will include three Strava timed races over a six-week period on enduro style Fernie trails. Each race will be live for two weeks and yes, you can better your own time!

Race #2 starts on July 10th and will be open for two weeks. The Strava route will be released the day prior to each two-week race.

There will be participation and KOM & QOM prizes for each race, and the overall fastest time for all three races will be crowned the Fernie Enduro 2020 King & Queen!

All participants must purchase a Fernie Mountain Bike Club membership to participate–it’s a trails fundraiser.

HOW TO PARTICIPATE:

  1. Get your FMBC 2020 membership, if you haven’t already, and go to the event page on bikefernie.ca
  2. Sign up for Strava
  3. Follow the Strava link for each Fernie Enduro race route (which will be released a day prior to the race).
  4. Ride to the race trailhead start zone, set your device, and giv’er.

Each race route will be posted one day prior to its two-week race period. Please respect others on the trail and remember that you have two weeks to do your best.

HOW TO QUALIFY FOR PRIZES AND KOM / QOM:

Take a screenshot of your race results along with a pre or post shred selfie.  Tag Fernie Bike Events (facebook.com/ferniebikeevents) and the FMBC (Facebook.com/ferniemountainbikeclub).   Add a couple of hashtags (#gearhubsports and #fernieenduro) and then you are good to go! This will enter you to win great prizes from Gearhub Sports including quality stuff from RaceFaceOneUpEvocSram and Abus!

The first 20 participants to post a race result will receive a cool FMBC Fernie Enduro 2020 hat from Giv’er Shirtworks.
