If you've always wanted to go for a run dressed like a leprechaun, a monk, a convict, a pickle, a biker, a smurf, a gumball machine, a Viking, an em dash (google it), or a dirt bag runner named Ana - then here's your chance.

Fun evening trot, with prizes for best dressed, a few surprises and post-run complimentary beers at The Fernie Hotel. Meet at Dirt Jump Parking Lot for 6.30PM start, all welcome - bring your buddies!

As the Fernie Trails Alliance launches its new Fernie Trails Pass and website this spring, they wants trail users, visitors and residents alike, to understand what they do, the member clubs they represent, and how alongside land owners, they work together to ensure Fernie's trail network is the best it can be now and for the forseeable future. Here is short and fun video by Aere Films featuring FTA Chair Krista Turcasso trying to break it all down. "And a bunch of other stuff..."

The Lone Wolf is a new trail running challenge in Fernie, BC. A simple, fun, looped race. But there’s a catch. Racers start together on the hour as a pack, needing to finish the loop within the hour. As when the next hour strikes, the race starts again, in the opposite direction. The goal? To complete as many loops as you can.

The course will be a beautiful, manageable, single track loop, with moderate elevation gain. Around the 7km mark, it will be easy enough to complete within the cutoff time for most, however pacing and tactics will come into play as the day goes on.

At long last, Fernie is back on the Ultra running map with the Elk Valley Ultra taking place July 29, 2017.
