Tourism Fernie Welcomes the Tourism Industry to Network-Learn-Engage
Join industry partners at Tourism Fernie’s annual tourism networking event and gain valuable marketing insight from the acclaimed guest speaker Gary Ross, “The Ross Rules: The Power of Story & Effective Content”.
Gary Ross, who has earned a reputation as one of the most admired writers, editors, and content experts in the country, will be kicking off this year’s event.His books have included the No. 1 nonfiction bestseller Stung: The Incredible Obsession of Brian Molony (which became the feature film Owning Mahowny, starring Philip Seymour Hoffman).
His journalism has been honoured with half a dozen National Magazine Awards, and he has edited hundreds of award-winning articles by other writers.As Director, Global Content, at Destination BC in 2016—Gary oversaw implementation of the tourism-marketing organization’s content-marketing strategy, using journalistic techniques to enhance brand engagement and deepen corporate messaging.
Gary has spoken to audiences all over the province on behalf of Destination BC. Now, as a tourism consultant, he’s sharing his insights with other organizations. His presentation, The Ross Rules: 10 Ways to Create More Effective Content, has been applauded by academic, non-profit, and business audiences.
Tourism Fernie’s event will be held March 16th from 8:30am-11:30am at the Best Western PLUS Fernie and is open to any and all who have an interest in tourism and destination marketing. In addition to the keynote presentation, the morning session will include networking opportunities, a deluxe continental breakfast, highlights from Tourism Fernie, formal Tourism Fernie AGM andan update on the Resort Municipality Initiatives (RMI) by the City of Fernie.
